Dear Course Participant,
Welcome to the Chesapeake Bay Perioperative Consortium four-day Operating Room Course. The course will be held in-person at the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health Brass Mill Conference Center in Belcamp, MD. The course dates are Monday, Oct. 23rd, 2023 – Thursday Oct. 27th, 2023. Class begins each day at 8:00am and runs until approximately 4:30pm. Please arrive for class a few minutes early so that you can get settled and be ready for our speakers.
Professional conduct is expected during the entire course. Dress code for the course is business casual or scrubs. Please wear your hospital ID badge at all times.
Instructions for your course materials will be given to you by your Educator or other facility representative. You may also access the consortium website to view and download the materials. You may log onto the website approximately one week before class starts. Chesapeake Bay Perioperative Consortium website is www.periopconsort.org
Your login will be the first letter of your first name and full last name, all in lowercase (ex. jsmith).
The password is: CBPCOct2023#. Please be sure that you have the materials, either digitally or in print, with you each day for class.
Please bring your course materials with you each day.
On Day 2, please bring 2 gowns and several pairs of gloves in your size to class. There will be gowning and gloving practice during class.
Course evaluations are required to be completed at the end of each day. Please be sure that you complete the survey for each lecture that you attend. Your completed survey must be submitted each day for you to receive your continuing education credit and your certificate of completion.
On the last day of the course there will be a multiple-choice quiz. A score of 85% or above is required to pass the course. The quizzes will be graded and reviewed after everyone completes their quiz.

Parking is at the end of the road, in the front of the building. Please do not park in the back of the building near the loading docks.
The building has a kitchen area with a refrigerator and microwave if you choose to bring your lunch. There are several fast-food options near the conference center if you prefer to grab lunch out.
